The enormous statue of Vittorio Emanuele II on his horse. It should be noted at this point that we were actually under the impression that this monument was in fact the Campidoglio (Capitoline Hill), the nerve center of the Roman Empire, well it turns out that we only realized later on that it was in fact the Monument for Vittorio Emanuele II. The Campidoglio was actually behind this structure, but we never made it there.
