... This photo encompasses most of the ceiling of the chapel. What you will notice is that Michelangelo transformed the dimensionless in to one that seems as though there are gobs of detail and structure. All of the angles and pillars in the photo and on the ceiling are not truly angles and pillars; they are simply, or really not so simply, the masterpiece of Michelangelo. He gave dimension to the dimensionless.
